In the beginning of the book, I thought the authors ability to focus on the details was impressive. The way she took me on a journey inside the mind of Ana and the cast was truly amazing. Whether its Ana grabbing the attention of everyone in a VIP room where only the people who are considered to be somebody attends effortlessly, or she's traveling across the country just for a weekend of fine whining and dining. My imagination was very active from the first few words in chapter one.Throughout the book I did notice the Adia consistent ability to bring life into words; that ability made everything seem real. I would recommend this book to anyone who simply enjoys reading with their imagination and a need to feel emotionally connection from start to finish.
The author of Ana's Magic, Adia McKenzie is gifted as a writer and I truly do look forward to reading some more of her work. Although, I have not come across another book published by the author; I find it even more impressive that she is also a blogger on [...]. A great site that introduced me to the author's diversity within creative writing. The set up of how she organized her writings makes the site easy to navigate
Interestingly, the book and the blog both reflect the author unique style and character within every piece she writes. Very few have the gift to connect emotions with words on such a high level therefore, making Ana's Magic a hard book to put down...excellent book hands down.

I was not able to put the book down. It was a great story line that kept the me wanting to continue reading to see what was going to happen next! i do hope she writes another book, keep up the good work!
This story flowed easily to the end. It was an enjoyable read. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys urban fiction or urban romance. This is one that you will like. I just wonder what happened to the edition because that is what I read. It is fast paced so if you are a quick reader this one will move probably faster than you want it too. I know there is going to be a part two, right??????
This was a really great book, although it had some grammatical errors and didn't really take away from the story. Ana really got herself into a lot of mess getting into the wrong relationship with Magic. She went through a lot of difficult times. I don't want to give a way the story but it ended kinda dumb. It just left you hanging with lots of questions unanswered. I would read another book by this author again. Enjoy!
I read this book long time ago, and just ordered more to give as gifts. I love this book with it's witty writing, sensuality, drama and great story line. It is a smooth read, perfect for curling up by the fireplace or jet set through airports. If you like a good read, you can't go wrong. I can't wait for the author's next book, Yellow Tulips & Red Buses, hopefully it is available soon.
Ana's Magic by Adia Kamaria is an intriguing read. Where those with dreams and ambition work hard to make it all come true. But soon things go down south. Family life isn't what is was. A father who became a drug dealer to give his family especially his little girl everything they wanted. But as with all bad jobs...the high life lasts only so long until it's destroyed. Ana's father and another man are soon sentenced to prison for a long time. Her mother is wanting to move back to Jamacia with her kids. The two sons are going with their mother but Ana doesn't want to go. Her mother is asking her to give up her dreams to go back to the place they came away from...to open up a grocery store. No way! Anger, confusion, and worry creep up within this read. A family who went through tough times are now, facing them again. Finding a school to finish her fashion studies and a place to live are seeming like an impossible reality...but Ana is determined to try. But will she end up failing or making it to the top?
Ana's Magic is full of drama, crime, and heat. The fashion world is a lot harder than readers think. Working one's way up costs money and money is the one thing that the main character was running out of...this seemed to cause her to get involved with people who were in bad businesses like her father and uncle were. There's plenty of adult content with this exciting read. Readers can easily connect with Ana. A character who held bigs dreams and kept on chasing them even when things got tough. Adia Kamaria writes well. There's never a boring moment. Her characters pop off the pages and entice readers. The big question in this novel is how far is one willing to go for their dreams. Overall, I enjoyed this urban street read and recommend it to all.
Definitely a page turner! Finished the book in one sitting! The author is amazing and kept me wanting more. Being a SoFlo native, it was awesome to see our cities and local hotspots in print. It made the story that more real! Can't wait for Part 2!
